چکیده

Background and Objective: The present study aimed to assess the association between stone chemical compositions Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) outcomes (stone-free result, operative time). Materials Methods: In this analytical cross-sectional study, data of 113 patients who underwent PCNL, including composition, stone-free time, were recorded analyzed. Results: univariate analysis, no significant differences observed group with result without in mean percentages calcium phosphate, oxalate, uric acid, frequency infectious stones time (P>0.05). Moreover, was not significantly correlated acid components addition, difference detected two groups (with stones) terms (47.00±17.38 vs. 45.99±20.98; P=0.817). multivariate regression none predictive factors affecting time. Conclusion: As evidenced by obtained results, upper urinary tract had effect on PCNL.

[Stone free rate assesment after percutaneous nephrolithotomy using nephrolitometric nomogram].

BACKGROUND Percutaneous nephrolithotomy remains the standard of care for kidney stones larger than 2cm. Therefore, setting a prognosis for complete stone resolution through this method is essential. The prognostic tools available have limited prediction. OBJECTIVES To evaluate the stone-free rate in patients undergoing percutaneous nephrolithotomy with the Clinical Research Office of the Endo...

Seoul National University Renal Stone Complexity Score for Predicting Stone-Free Rate after Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy

OBJECTIVES Currently, no standardized method is available to predict success rate after percutaneous nephrolithotomy. We devised and validated the Seoul National University Renal Stone Complexity (S-ReSC) scoring system for predicting the stone-free rate after single-tract percutaneous nephrolithotomy (sPCNL). PATIENTS AND METHODS The data of 155 consecutive patients who underwent sPCNL were ...

Giant kidney stone: multi-session percutaneous nephrolithotomy with 12 accesses.

We report a case of a 37-year-old man with a body mass index of 28 kg/m(2) who presented to our outpatient clinic with intermittent left flank pain. Non-contrast abdominopelvic computed tomography revealed a giant coralliform calculus in the left kidney. This giant kidney stone was successfully treated with 3 sessions of percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PNL) with a total 12 accesses. There was no ...

Ultrasonography-Guided Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy for the Treatment of Kidney Stone

We examined the surgical outcomes of minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy (MPCNL) in complicating urolithiasis.10 patients were hospitalized for MPNCL due to upper tract urolithiasis. Calyx puncture was performed in the prone position under ultrasonographic guidance. The renal access route was established using a set of 8F-12F dilators, and a transpyelic ballistic lithotriptor was us...

Novel use of a ureteroscopic stone entrapment device to prevent antegrade stone migration during percutaneous nephrolithotomy.

The Accordion stone management device is a hydrophilic microcatheter-based tool that blocks stone migration. This instrument has been described for use during ureteroscopy to prevent retropulsion of stone fragments. We used this device during percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) in 30 patients to prevent antegrade migration of stone fragments (group 1), and find that the device is easily inserte...
